India bags 5 Grammys meet the winners

Tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain`s fusion group Shakti won the Grammy Award for best global music album for `This Moment`.

Hussain won two other awards -- the best global music performance for "Pashto" and best contemporary instrumental album for "As We Speak".

Sharing his winning moments from the Grammys, Rakesh Chaurasia wrote, "Happy to bring 2 Grammys home to India

The "As We Speak" team -- Zakir Hussain, Edgar Meyer, Bela Fleck and Rakesh Chaurasia -- were also nominated for best instrumental composition for motion.

Three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej, who also attended the ceremony, called 2024 the year of India at the Grammys.
