Navratri Bhog: 9 Prasad For 9 Days
Day 1: Desi Ghee
The first day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Shailputri, also known as Goddess Parvati. Offer desi ghee to receive blessings of Maa Shailputri.
Day 2: Sugar
The second day is for Goddess Brahmacharini. Goddess Sati, an unmarried form, is worshipped. Offer sugar as Navratri bhog to the Goddess to embody her virtues.
Day 3: Kheer
The third day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Chandraghanta, another powerful form of Goddess Parvati. Offer Kheer as prasad to receive divine blessings.
Day 4: Malpua
Goddess Kushmanda is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri. Offering Malpua as bhog or prasad to the Goddess is considered to be divine and holy.
Day 5: Banana
Day 5 is for Goddess Skandamata, the mother of Lord Kartikeya. Offering bhog of bananas during Navratri will have the Goddess grace with prosperity.
Day 6: Honey
Goddess Katyayani, who destroyed the demon Mahishasura, is worshipped on day 6 of Navratri. Offering honey will help channel your anger in a positive direction.
Day 7: Jaggery
Day 7 is dedicated to goddess Kalaratri, one of the fiercest forms of Mata Parvati. Offering jaggery (Gur) during Navratri can be auspicious and powerful.
Day 8: Coconut
Goddess Mahagauri is worshipped on the 8th day of Navratri. Offering coconut as prasad can be fruitful as she blesses her devotees with worldly gains.
Day 9: Sesame Seeds
The ninth and final day is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri. It is believed that Adi-Parashakti appeared in this form. Offer seasame seeds as bhog on ninth day.
