Who is Manu Bhaker, the Indian Olympian?

Manu Bhaker won a bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris in the women`s 10 metre air pistol event.

She became the first woman from India to win a medal in shooting at the Olympics.

Previously, she`s won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 and is also the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup.

Manu was born in the small village of Goria in Haryana state. From a very young age, Manu was a talented sportsperson.

She excelled in Huiyen Lallong, a martial art of Manipur, as well as boxing, tennis, and skating. She participated and won the gold medal in national events.
