Alia Bhatt And Diljit Dosanjh Come Together To Recreate `Ikk Kudi` For Jigra

One of the most successful actresses, Alia Bhatt, and one of the most loved singers across the globe, Diljit Dosanjh, come together yet again to recreate magic on the big screen. The two featured together in the film Udta Punjab, where they sang Ikk Kudi, a song that topped all the charts.

For the uninitiated, Udta Punjab featured Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh in leading roles. The movie revolved around drug addiction, a commonly found problem across Punjab.

Diljit and Alia have announced yet another collaboration that hint at the duo recreating the magic of 'Ikk Kudi' for the actress's upcoming film, Jigra.

While the world struggles to book tickets to his Dil-Luminati India tour, she goes and collaborates with the man himself. The actress has announced her next collaboration with the Punjabi singer for her next project, Jigra.

Reportedly, Dosanjh will be seen singing a special song for the film that is headlined by Alia and Vedang Raina. Helmed by Vasan Bala, the film narrates a story about a special brother-sister bond.

On Friday, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram and shared a post where she and Diljit Dosanjh can be seen sitting on the sets of her upcoming movie. The singer's chair had "Sings about Kudi" written on it, while the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress's chair read, "The said Kudi."


They had sung a song in the 2016 release that became a viral sensation. It is no surprise that the fans were elated to hear about their collaboration. Sharing the post, Alia wrote, "Chairs say it all," with a microphone emoji.

As soon as the post went up, fans started showering their excitement and love in the comments. One user wrote, "The 'ik kudi' duo is back y'all," while another comment read, "I can't wait for another banger they're about to create."

The young actor, who made his debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies in 2023, opened up about his experience working with the Highway star and how she helped him grow into a better performer.

Raina recalled his experience working with Alia and said, 'We have different approaches when it comes to acting, and I have learned so much from her. I was just in awe with how she was approaching things and with so much conviction. I shot my first scene with her, and I instantly realized why she is where she is. Even when I wasn't shooting, I would go on the set and watch what she was doing.'

Jigra will see a theatrical release on October 11.
