Arshad Warsi Has A Hilarious Reaction On Backlash Over Prabhas Comment

One of the finest actors in Bollywood, Arshad Warsi, is back headlining the gossip and controversy section, thanks to his controversial comment on Prabhas' performance in his last release, Kalki 2898 AD. For the uninitiated, Arshad had called the South Indian superstar a 'joker.'

This happened during Warsi's candid conversation with YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, where the two spoke about various aspects of the industry and the former's personal life. One of the topics they spoke about was the Nag Ashwin directorial.

While Arshad Warsi called Prabhas a joker, he received major backlash for the same. Now, the actor opened up about the consequences and reacted to the same.

The Munna Bhai MBBS actor spoke about the controversy and said the criticism doesn't bother him, adding, "It doesn't bother me anymore." Staying true to his usual element of humour and wit, he jokingly added that he plans to love every actor going forward.

Arshad spoke about the flipside of stardom and said, "Honestly, it's okay. Everyone has their point of view. Also, it's a democratic country, and everyone is allowed to speak in it. If you are a positive person, anything negative does bother you. However, we have been at a place where stones are thrown, so it doesn't bother me anymore."

Amid the controversy, some fans and followers noticed that Arshad Warsi had turned off his comments section on Instagram. Addressing the same, he clarified that he doesn't even know how to do that.

When asked if he will be more careful going forward about what he says in public, the Asur actor replied, "Absolutely, I have decided that I will love every film that I watch. I will love every actor for the rest of my life (laughs)."

For those who don't know about the Arshad Warsi-Prabhas controversy, here's what happened. Basically, the Bollywood star was in a podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia, where he candidly discussed his life, career, movies he recently watched, and everything in between.

When talking about Kalki 2898 AD, Arshad didn't hold back and shared that he didn't like it at all.

While he praised Amitabh Bachchan for his impeccable performance, he equally criticised what the makers made Prabhas do in the movie.



'Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab (I watched Kalki.) Didn't like it. It hurts me when... Amit Ji was (mind-blown sounds) unbelievable. I can't understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae (our lives would be set). He's unreal,' Arshad Warsi said.

He further critiqued the film and said, 'Prabhas, I am really sad why was he... He was like a joker. Why? I want to see Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata. (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand?)'

On the work front, Arshad Warsi will next be seen in Jolly LLB 3 alongside Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi.
