The release of the highly anticipated film "Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha," starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, has been postponed. The film's team announced the decision on Tuesday, citing requests from exhibitors and distributors.

While the initial release date was set for July 5th, fans will now have to wait a little longer to witness the on-screen reunion of the iconic duo. The official announcement came through a social media post by NH STUDIOZ on Instagram.

It stated, "Dear friends, on request of the exhibitors and the distribution fraternity, we have collectively decided to shift the release date of our film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. New Release date to be announced soon." The caption further hinted at the wait with the words, "The wait is a little longerhellip #AuronMeinKahanDumTha."

A Look at the Film

The makers had recently unveiled the trailer, piquing the audience's interest with its intriguing plot. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film marks Ajay Devgn and Tabu's tenth collaboration on screen, a testament to their enduring on-screen chemistry.




The story revolves around a timeless love story between two individuals, Krishna (played by Devgn) and Vasudha (played by Tabu), who are destined to meet after two long decades. Their blossoming love story faces a series of challenges, ultimately leading to their separation. The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Krishna commits multiple murders, landing him a life sentence in prison. After 22 years, he is finally released, setting the stage for a potential reunion with his lost love.

Adding depth to the narrative is the casting of Shantanu Maheshwari, who portrays the younger version of Ajay Devgn, romancing the character of a younger Tabu, played by Saiee Manjrekar. The film also features Jimmy Sheirgill as Tabu's husband in the present timeline.

"Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha" promises to be a unique blend of a musical love story and an epic romantic drama spanning over two decades, set between the years 2002 and 2023. The film's soundtrack boasts the talent of Oscar-winning composer MM Kreem, with lyrics penned by the acclaimed Manoj Muntashir.

Produced by a consortium of production housesmdashFriday Filmworks Production, Narendra Hirawat, Kumar Mangat Pathak (Panorama Studios), Sangeeta Ahir, and Shital Bhatiamdashthe film has generated significant buzz with its powerful ensemble cast and intriguing story.

Speaking about the film's inception, director Neeraj Pandey revealed, "Two years back, when we were figuring out our next theatrical release, the germ of this film came to me. It was there in some form in my head before that but I didn't actually sit down and write about it till two years ago. And Ajay and Tabu were my first choices. Having said that, I don't know if it's their friendship that translated onscreen because I know nothing about its background," the filmmaker said.

While the reason for the delay hasn't been officially disclosed, speculation suggests it could be a strategic move to avoid a clash with other releases or to capitalise on a more opportune release window. With the new date yet to be announced, fans will have to stay tuned for further updates.
