Bujji and Bhairava: Animated Prelude to Kalki 2898 AD Heats Up Anticipation

Fans of Prabhas and the upcoming sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD are in for a treat. A one-minute-and-29-second trailer for the two-part animated series Bujji and Bhairava, a prelude to the film, has been released, offering a glimpse into the world of the movie and the adventures of its characters.

This innovative promotional campaign serves as a first for Indian cinema. The series, titled BampB: Bujji and Bhairava, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 31st, 2024. Each episode is expected to be around 14 minutes long and will be released in Telugu, Hindi, English, and Spanish.

The animation for the series is reportedly done by Green Gold Animation, the studio behind the popular Indian children's show Chhota Bheem. The captivating teaser and exciting trailer have certainly generated buzz and heightened expectations for the upcoming film.

Bujji and Bhairava sets the stage for Kalki 2898 AD

Set in 2896 AD in the holy city of Kashi, the trailer introduces us to Bhairava, a bounty hunter voiced by Prabhas, searching for a custom-made bike to aid him in his work. He stumbles upon Bujji, a quirky robotic vehicle voiced by Keerthy Suresh, who seems to be part of the package. The trailer hints at a developing friendship between the two as they embark on adventures, culminating in events that lead into the main storyline of Kalki 2898 AD.

BampB: Bujji and Bhairava is more than just a fun watch. It serves as a prelude to the film, setting the stage for the larger narrative and introducing audiences to the world of Kalki 2898 AD. The trailer also reveals a new character voiced by the legendary Telugu comedian Brahmanandam, adding another layer of intrigue to the series.

The makers plan to release the remaining episodes of the series after the theatrical release of Kalki 2898 AD, which is slated for sometime after June 27th, 2024.
