The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has made a bold move by introducing a myriad of new faces in the 2024 Lok Sabha election season. With many actors starting a new chapter of their lives by joining politics, it was Kangana Ranaut who became the internet sensation with her unapologetic speeches and robust campaigns as she supported Narendra Modi's vision.

The Bollywood star, who is known for her controversial statements and undismayed comments on absolutely anything that seems to bother her, entered into Indian politics on a BJP ticket as she contested from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi.

As Kangana Ranaut leads the Lok Sabha elections in her constituency by a spectacular margin, let's have a look at some of her tweets that raised the eyebrows of netizens and made her the queen of controversies.

Lok Sabha election results: Top Kangana Ranaut's political tweets

Amid the Lok Sabha election results, the never-ending dispute between the BJP and Congress got a little too serious. As Rahul Gandhi's party started with a lead in the vote counts, Modi's BJP eventually caught up, thus nearing a probable hattrick.

Many actors-turned-politicians contested this year's general elections from different constituencies, where they saw an incredible response. While some continue to dominate in their region, it wasn't that fruitful for other stars.

However, the Tanu Weds Manu actress continues to rule Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, as she is about 40,000 votes ahead of her arch-rival in the constituency. This marks her debut in Indian politics.

Amid the Lok Sabha election results, let's have a look at some of Kangana Ranaut's most controversial and shocking tweets that took the internet by storm.

1. Bollywood vs. Hinduism

After Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan took over the Bollywood box office with monstrous numbers, many celebrities were of the opinion that the film paints Pakistan in a good light.

Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt spoke about how love triumphs over hate, and Kangana warned the industry not to mix politics with movies.

Taking it to X (formerly known as Twitter), she wrote, "Bollywood walon yeh narrative banane ki koshish mat karna ki iss desh mein tum Hindu hate se suffer kar rahe ho, agar maine phir se yeh word suna 'triumph over hate' toh tum logon ki wahi class lagegi jo kal lagi thi (Bollywood people, do not try to project that you are suffering from Hindu hate in this country. If I hear another comment on 'triumph over hate', I will take your class). Enjoy your success and do good work stay away from politics."

2. Never contesting from Himachal Pradesh

The actor-turned-politician's old tweet resurfaced on the internet the moment she announced Mandi as her constituency. In her old statement, Kangana Ranaut commented on how Himachal Pradesh is a rather smaller region for her to contest.

In March 2021, an X user predicted, 'Mark my tweet! Kangana Ranaut will fight by-election from Mandi Lok Sabha Constituency.' For the uninitiated, Himachal is her hometown.

Replying to the same tweet, the Gangster actress wrote, 'I was given the option of Gwalior during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The HP (Himachal Pradesh) population is hardly 60-70 lakh, with no poverty or crime. If I get into politics, I want a state with complexities I can work on and be the queen in that field as well. Small fry like you won't understand big talks.'

3. Beef with red meat

Earlier in April this year, Kangana Ranaut had to clarify her Hindu identity by emphasizing that she does not eat beef or any kind of red meat. This came amid online rumors that suggested she was a heavy meat eater.

"I don't consume beef or any other kind of red meat it is shameful that completely baseless rumors are being spread about me. I have been advocating and promoting a yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now such tactics won't work to tarnish my image," the Queen actress said.

She further added, "My people know me, and they know that I am a proud Hindu, and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram."
