Telugu superstar Nagarjuna Akkineni found himself embroiled in a controversy over the weekend after a video surfaced online showing his bodyguard roughly handling a disabled fan at an airport. The incident has sparked outrage on social media, prompting the actor to issue a public apology.


Bodyguard Pushes Fan, Nagarjuna Walks On

The now-viral video, reportedly filmed inside an airport terminal, captures a fan attempting to approach Nagarjuna as he walks through a crowded area. While the actor himself appears oblivious to the fan's attempt to greet him, his bodyguards are seen shoving the fan away with considerable force. The footage shows the fan, who appears to have a disability, stumbling and nearly falling due to the impact. Disturbingly, Nagarjuna continues walking without acknowledging the incident.

The video quickly gained traction online, inviting a wave of criticism directed at the actor. Netizens expressed their disappointment at Nagarjuna's lack of reaction to the situation, with many accusing him of turning a blind eye to his overzealous security personnel.

Following the online backlash, Nagarjuna took to his social media platform to address the controversy. In a post he shared on Sunday, the actor acknowledged the incident, stating, "This just came to my notice hellip this shouldn't have happened!! I apologise to the gentleman and will take necessary precautions that it will not happen in the future!!"


Looking Ahead: Nagarjuna's Upcoming Projects

Despite this recent setback, Nagarjuna Akkineni has a busy slate of projects lined up for release. He will next be seen sharing screen space with Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh in the upcoming pan-India film, "Kubera," directed by Sekhar Kammula. The multilingual project is being produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt. Ltd.

Nagarjuna also has another untitled film in the pipeline, directed by Mohan Raja. This project boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Trisha Krishnan, Radhika Madan, Akhil Akkineni, and Vivek Oberoi. The film reportedly revolves around the story of five assassins, with Nagarjuna playing one of the lead roles.

Nagarjuna Akkineni is a well-respected figure in Indian cinema, known for his contributions primarily to Telugu films. He has also dabbled in Tamil and Hindi projects throughout his career.
