Ranbir Kapoor Plans a Party for daughter Raha`s First Birthday

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married last year in April. In November 2022, they welcomed Raha into their lives. This year she turns a year old, and it is the most happy news for the actor's parents.

In a recent Zoom call, he revealed that they are planning a small party with close family and friends to celebrate the day. He said, "She is going to turn one year old and we are going to have a small birthday party for her at home with just family and cousins. So, looking forward to that."

He further shared more about her daughter and how she reacted when she met her cousins, Taimur and Jeh. Taimur and Jeh are the kids of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan.

He said, "Raha went to Taimur and Jeh's house once. They have also come home. But she's so young, she can't recognize anyone. She is 11 months old. She's barely recognizing me now, and I must say that I am her favorite, more than her mom. So, I am very happy about that."

In the same call, Ranbir revealed how he will be taking a short sabbatical from work to spend more time with his daughter. He was not there when she was born, as he was shooting for Animal, and he has mostly been away in the last year. Now, he will be making up for that by spending more time with her.

Ranbir also shared how Raha has been trying to say some words like 'Pa' or 'Ma' and how he wants to cherish this time as it won't come back again. He revealed another endearing fact about Alia: she writes emails to her daughter every day, which she can read when she grows up to have a memory.



On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have big projects coming up. Ranbir will be seen in Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It is slated to release on December 1 and also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt had a good year at the movies this year with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which did really well at the box office. She will be shooting now for Jigra, which is directed by Vasan Bala. Alia Bhatt has co-produced the film, which will release next year.
