Shilpa Shetty Visits Govinda In Hospital After He Accidentally Shoots Himself

The internet was shaking and quaking after veteran Bollywood actor Govinda accidentally shot himself in the knee on Tuesday. He was cleaning his revolver while it misfired, injuring him badly. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery.

The actor was discharged today. While many actors wished him a speedy recovery, it was Shilpa Shetty who reached the hospital to check on an injured Govinda.

For the uninitiated, the two actors have worked on a couple of blockbuster films in the early 1990s. They made an adorable on-screen couple and entertained fans thoroughly with their exceptional performances.

Shilpa Shetty visits an injured Govinda

On Thursday, the Dhadkan actress reached Mumbai's CritiCare hospital in her Range Rover. Wearing a yellow dress, she visited the senior actor-turned politician to check on his health.

The minute she stepped out of her car, Shilpa was mobbed by the paparazzi. Losing her cool, an annoyed actress asked the paps, "Ye koi jagah hai kya? (Is this some place for this?)"

On Wednesday, it was Govinda's Akhiyon Se Goli Maare co-star Raveena Tandon who arrived at the hospital to visit the injured actor. She wore a beige blazer with matching pants and a pink shirt.

Everything about Govinda's accident

Govinda was rushed to the hospital on October 1 after his licensed revolver accidentally misfired, injuring him severely in the knee. The incident took place in the wee hours of Tuesday around 4:45 a.m.

His manager, Shashi Sinha, provided further details and said, "Govinda was getting ready to leave for Kolkata and was putting his licensed revolver back in the cupboard when it slipped from his hand, and the gun went off, hitting him in the leg. The doctor has removed the bullet, and his condition is stable. He is still in the hospital."


His wife, Sunita Ahuja, issued an official statement in the media and thanked everyone who prayed for the Bhagam Bhaag actor's speedy recovery.

"Govinda's health is fine now he is much better. He will probably be discharged either this evening or tomorrow," she assured her fans and loved ones. Govinda was discharged on Friday after being under observation for two days.

In an audio message, the actor thanked fans and God, expressing his gratitude. He said, "Hello, this is Govinda. With the blessings of my fans, my parents, and God, I am doing better now. I was hit by a bullet, which has now been removed. I thank the doctor here, Dr. Agarwal Ji. I thank all of you for your prayers."
