Simba Again: Ranveer Singh Exhumes Infectious Energy as Simmba in First Look

Ranveer Singh had everyone on the edge with his portrayal of an over-the-top police officer. Combining his own personality and infusing it into his character, Ranveer Singh made Simmba stand out in an otherwise ordinary film. Simmba was released back in 2018 to mixed reviews but did quite well at the box office.

Ever since Singham Again was announced by the makers, Ranveer Singh's look has been much-awaited in the film. Earlier, two new characters were introduced by Rohit Shetty in the form of Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff, who joined the cop universe. Finally, Ranveer Singh's first look from the film is announced.



In the poster, Ranveer Singh transfers a manic energy towards the screen as he stretches his arms and shouts all the way. He is wearing black sunglasses and donning the police uniform. In the background, a police car can be seen with a ringing siren, along with an image of Lord Hanuman.

In the caption, Ranveer Singh wrote, "SABSE NATKHAT, SABSE NIRALA!!! ALA RE ALA, SIMMBA ALA!!!" Rohit Shetty also shared the poster with the caption, "Hum sabka favourite!!! The notorious SIMMBA is back!"

Rohit Shetty had earlier a glimpse from the set of the film where cars were getting exploded. The shooting of the film had commenced in September, and Shetty put out a post announcing it. In the photo, he is standing with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, praying.



In the caption, he had written, "Singham, Singham returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi. 12 years ago, when we made Singham, we never thought that it would turn into a Cop Universe! Today, we begin filming Singham again. The 5th film in our cop universe. ISME HUM APNI JAAN LAGA DENGE! BAS AAPKE PYAAR AUR DUA KI ZAROORAT HAI!"

Singham came out back in 2011 and became a sensation for its dialogues by Farhad Samji and the power-packed performances of Ajay Devgn and Prakash Raj. Later, it became a cop universe, with Simmba and Sooryanvanshi joining it.

Singham Again has raised expectations to an all-new level with the ensemble cast of Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar. It is all slated to release on August 14, 2024.
