It is safe to say that majority of Indian population is crazy about daily soaps. Their storyline may seem exaggerated and highly questionable, but after a point, even the mosts sensible ones will watch it with utmost engrossment. One such show was Kahaanii Ghar Ghar Ki. Articulated by the Queen of daily soaps, Ekta Kapoor massively marketed the TV serial trend in a way that it became a routine of every Indian household.
Speaking of popular daily soaps, one of Ekta Kapoor`s infamous TV serial Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii is all set to make its comeback after a 14-year long hiatus. Starring Sakshi Tanwar and Kiran Karmarkar in lead, the show revolves around the daily affairs of a Marwadi family. Potraying a perfect daughter-in-law, Tanwar was widely accepted and applauded for her performance. The Balaji Telefims show captivated the audience for 8 long years, dominating Star Plus from 2000 to 2008.
Sharing the news of the most-loved TV serial making a comeback, the channel took to Instagram saying, “Ghar ghar se judi ek kahani, ab phir dikhegi har ghar mein! #KahaaniGharGharKii, shuru ho raha hai phirse. 2nd August se, dopeher 3:30 baje, sirf StarPlus par.”
Since the show will run during the afternoon, we`re not sure if this will be re-runs of old episodes or a brand new show with a fresh storyline. What will also be interesting to see is whether the show comes with the same old traditional mindset or the story has an unconvetional approach for the millennials to relate. While the actress impressed the audience with Parvati`s simplicity and charm, Om`s (Kiran Karmarkar) character narrated what a perfect, doted son ideally should look like.
Along with the lead actors, Ali Asgar and Shweta Kawatraa drove Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii to be one of the most-viewed Indian daily soaps. From Star Plus`s Instagram post, we assume there`ll be new additions to the cast, namely - Mohnish Bahl, Rupali Ganguly, Anup Soni, and Anchit Kaur.
