Akshay Kumar Talks About His Son Aarav and His Plans to Work in the Film Industry
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan actor Akshay Kumar recently appeared on a talk show hosted by Indian cricket player Shikhar Dhawan. The actor has been making headlines after voting at the Lok Sabha elections on Monday after regaining his Indian citizenship. In Dhawan’s talk show named Dhawan Karenge, Akshay Kumar, who rarely talks about his two kids, Aarav and Nitara, did the exceptional. The actor opened up about his son, Aarav, and his plans to join the film industry, following his father’s example.
In the interview, Akshay Kumar revealed that his and Twinkle Khanna’s son left home for London at the age of 15. Talking about it, the Khiladi actor said, “My son Aarav is studying at the university in London. He left home at the age of 15. He was always fond of studying and wanted to stay alone. It was his decision to move, even though I didn’t want him to go. However, I could not stop him because I left my home at the age of 14.”

Akshay Kumar also praised his son for being efficient and self-sufficient. He commented, “He does his own laundry, he is a good cook, does the utensils, and doesn’t even want to buy expensive clothes. In fact, he goes to a second-hand store, Thrifty, to buy clothes because he doesn’t believe in wastage.”
He also commented on whether his son is interested in joining the film industry, just like his parents and grandparents. He said, “We never forced him to do anything; he is interested in fashion; he doesn’t want to be a part of cinema. He came to me and said that I don’t want to do films. I said, This is your life; do what you want to do.”
“I am happy with the way Twinkle and I have brought up Aarav; he is a very simple boy. My daughter, on the other hand, likes clothes,” Akshay concluded about his 21-year-old son.
