Actor RIturaj Singh Dies At 59 After Suffering A Cardiac Arrest
Anupamaa fame and Bollywood actor Rituraj Singh passed away after he suffered a severe cardiac arrest on Tuesday, February 20. He was 59 years old. His colleague and close friend, Amit Behl, confirmed the shocking news.
Amit Behl, who is also an actor, confirmed that the popular TV star was no more after he died of a cardiac arrest on February 20 at 12:30 AM. The Cine and TV Artists` Association (CINTAA) also confirmed that Rituraj Singh had been facing pancreas-related issues and was undergoing treatment for them.
For those who are unaware, Rituraj gained fame with TV shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Banegi Apni Baat, Diya Aur Baati Hum, and more. He was also seen in Barinath Ki Dulhania, opposite Varun Dhawan. He played the young actor`s father in the movie.
“I am shocked and heartbroken upon hearing the news! Someone posted the news on one of my WhatsApp groups early in the morning, and since then, I have just been in shock. I worked closely with Ritu in `Kahani Ghar Ghar Kii`. He was one of the few actors who gave me a warm welcome on the show," Sandip said.
He further added, "To say that he was a brilliant actor is an obvious thing, but more than an actor, he was one of the finest human beings that I know. I am really saddened by the news. May his soul rest in peace, and may his wife and kids get the strength to deal with this loss."
Another TV star, Hiten Tejwani, gave a statement to the Indian Express, saying, “I don’t know what to say; it’s sad. We lost a good human being and a great actor. My heartfelt condolences to the whole family.”
When it comes to Bollywood movies, the actor was last seen in Yaariyan 2 in 2023. Additionally, he also made special appearances in web series like Made in Heaven, Criminal Justice, The Test Case, and Bandish Bandits.
