Allu Arjun Stampede Case
A tragic stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4 has sparked a major controversy involving actor Allu Arjun. The incident, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman, has led to allegations by Hyderabad police against the actor for his conduct on the day of the incident.
At a press conference on Saturday, however, the actor claimed that no police officer had asked him to leave the premises. This contradiction has fuelled further debate about the sequence of events.
City police chief CV Anand released a 6.5-minute video chronicling the events of the day. The tragic stampede occurred when thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor during the premiere. The crush left a woman, Revathi, dead, while her son sustained critical injuries.
B Raju Naik, SHO of the Chikkadpally area, shared his emotional ordeal, saying, “I somehow managed to escape death. But for the past 15 days, the fact that one woman (Revathi) died in my hands and that we could not save her has been haunting me. I pray for the soul and speedy recovery of her child.”

ACP L Ramesh Kumar stated, “Despite being briefed about the situation outside, the actor refused to leave the theatre. He was adamant on watching the entire film. We not only told him about the fatality but also assured him to clear the road outside for him to leave as he is a celebrity. Even then, he refused to leave. It was only after the DCP stormed inside and gave him a deadline of 15 minutes to clear out did he budge from there.”At a press conference on Saturday, however, the actor claimed that no police officer had asked him to leave the premises.
