Why Was Kangana Ranaut Slapped By CISF Constable Kulwinder Kaur?
With Lok Sabha election results continuing to take the internet by storm, Kangana Ranaut`s slap controversy added extra fuel to the fire. It all happened after the newly elected BJP MP reached Chandigarh airport on Thursday, when she was slapped by CISF woman constable Kulwinder Kaur.
For the uninitiated, Kangana Ranaut made her political debut with this year`s Lok Sabha election. She contested on a BJP ticket from her hometown, Himachal Pradesh`s Mandi constituency.
The actress-turned-politician`s past comment during the 2020 farmer protest triggered the CISF constable, who reacted to Kangana`s comment, saying she only knows how to "disrespect farmers."
Kaur is married to another CISF constable, who is also placed at the same airport. She has had no vigilance inquiry or any other criminal offense against her till now, said the officials.

According to reports, Kulwinder Kaur was triggered by Kangana Ranaut`s past statement saying women in the farmer`s protest were paid Rs. 100 to sit on the borders of Delhi. Reportedly, the constable`s mother was also a part of the protests.
In a viral video, Kaur was seen saying, “My mother was there," referring to the actor-politician`s comment.
“Kangana kehti hai aurate 100-100 rupee mein baithi thi aurate farmer protest mein, yeh baithegi wahan pe? Meri maa baithi thi jab isne bayan diya tha (Kangana said the women were sitting in the farmers` protests for ₹100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made that remark)," Kulwinder Kauri said.
The CISF constable, who has now been suspended, faces a police case, and a court inquiry into the incident has also been ordered.
Confirming the incident at the Chandigarh airport, Kangana recalled how she was hit by the CISF constable during the security check.

“As soon as I came out after the security check, the lady in the second cabin, a CISF security staff, came from the side, hit me on the face, and started abusing me. When I asked her why she did so, she said that she supports farmers` protests," Kangana Ranaut said.
"I am safe, but I am concerned about the terrorism and extremism that is increasing in Punjab," she further added.

Who is Kulwinder Kaur, the CISF constable who slapped Kangana Ranaut?
The woman constable from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) comes from a farmer family. Kulwinder joined the CISF in 2009 and has been placed with the aviation security group of the force at the Chandigarh airport since 2021.Kaur is married to another CISF constable, who is also placed at the same airport.
