Mouni Roy Opens Up About How She Landed Junoon`s Role In Brahmastra, Says Good Things take Time

After Brahmastra`s masisve success, praises and applauds have been raining on Mouni Roy for her performance in the movie. Playing a menacing villain Junoon, her performance stood out. While some called her the only highlight of the movie, no one really knows how the actress landed a role that proves to be a breakthrough in her career.
Recalling her journy in TV serials, Mouni Roy said it was a long, difficult journey to make her mark in Bollywood. According to her, good things take time and so did this opportunity in Ayan Mukerji`s mythology-fiction. She said, "I have never shied away from hard work and I always feel there is no shortcut to hard work. Your work gets you more work."
She accepted that she`s overwhelmed by all the love and how her hard-work has paid off. "I have grown as an actor. I am not the same person. I have learnt a lot. It has been a rollercoaster journey. But I am still a small-town girl and I still have the same heart and the same set of friends and family. Life is full of surprises. Be present, be open and accept the good and the bad and the ugly, and make your life happy," Mouni added.
Speaking of Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer has become the first ever Bollywood movie to crash the worldwide box office numbers. It is soon approaching the Rs.400 crores worldwide gross collection. After the success of Part 1, director Ayan Mukerji revealed they will be starting the shoot for Brahmastra`s second part Dev by this year end. They`re aiming for a late 2025 release.
