Pakistani Actress Safeeha Jabbar Slams Bollywood For Being Silent On Rafah Attacks
The world is burning and shaking as Israel continues its inhumane ceasefire on Palestine`s Gaza and Rafah, killing several innocent children, women, and elderly people. The internet is calling out the West and criticizing Hollywood for being silent on the Rafah attacks.
Amidst this, Pakistani actress Safeeha Jabbar Khattak slammed Bollywood for not speaking up and expressing their solidarity for Palestine. She questioned Indian celebrities as they remained silent on Israel`s aggression on Gaza.
For the uninitiated, Israel began a military offensive in and around the city of Rafah in the process of its invasion in the Gaza Strip during the Israel-Hamas war. At least 45 civilian lives have been lost after Israel`s airstrike on Sunday.
Taking it to her Instagram stories, Safeeha wrote, "While in the West everyone is blocking Hollywood celebrities and influencers, what are we doing about Bollywood?"

"In our neighboring country, where we are eager to work and where we speak so highly of them in our interviews, none of them have spoken against the ongoing genocide," she added.
She continued, "Please stop wishing them birthdays and hyping them up. Their government has banned us from working "for them." Waisay bhee, in the past we were rarely offered decent roles, and now, during this genocide, the whole of India is silent."
Safeeha concluded the post by saying, "It`s time that we focus on our craft, make better films and dramas, and stop seeking validation from them or anyone."
In October 2023, Sonam Kapoor became the first Bollywood actress to share solidarity for Palestine by re-sharing a pro-Gaza post on her Instagram stories.
