Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was seriously injured in a car accident while driving home from Delhi to Roorkee at Narsan, Haridwar district, about 90 km from Dehradun. According to police, Rishabh was alone in his car and was seriously injured when his car crashed into a divider on Friday morning. The car then turned a few times before turning into a ball of fire.
The police sources informed that, after being initially admitted to a private hospital in Roorkee, Pant was later referred to a Dehradun hospital. He has reportedly suffered injuries on the head, along with a ligament injury on his right ankle.
“He is under evaluation and a team of doctors is attending to him. Only after some tests can we tell more. As of now, he is stable and there is not much to worry about,” Medical Superintendent at Max Hospital, Dehradun, Doctor Ashish Yagnik revealed while talking to the media.
“A team of doctors is talking to him and based on what he is telling us about the injuries, he is getting evaluated. Prima facie, we did not find any serious injuries. Orthopedic and plastic surgeons are attending him.” Dr. Yagnik further added.
According to a statement issued by the State Government, Rishabh Pant’s car met with a horrific accident near Mohammadpur Jat under the Mangalore police station area in Haridwar district around 5.30 am. He was soon rushed to Saksham Hospital in Roorkee by the 108 ambulance and local police. From there, he was referred to Dehradun.
