On September 19th, the world celebrates the birthday of astronaut Sunita Williams. She’s a true icon of inspiration for her achievements in science, education, and space exploration. This year, India has planned something special to honour her, with a campaign that brings together renowned Bollywood stars, musicians, and over 700 schools. Led by Saregama and the creative agency `The Womb,` the initiative highlights India’s admiration for Sunita Williams through music.
To commemorate this special occasion, Bollywood legends like Karan Johar, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, and many more have lent their voices to perform a rendition of the classic song "Baar Baar Din Yeh Aaye" from the 1967 movie Farz.
This song, already a popular choice for birthday celebrations in India, was chosen by Saregama for its nostalgic value and universal appeal. These artists shared their musical tributes across various social media platforms, expressing their admiration for Sunita Williams and wishing her a long and prosperous life.
The campaign was spearheaded by Saregama, one of India’s leading music companies, and supported by Mumbai-based creative agency The Womb. Vikram Mehra, managing director of Saregama India, explained the motivation behind this initiative, stating: “In India, `Baar Baar Din Yeh Aaye` is the default birthday song.
