The medium of film is tricky, as anything and everything can change in the process of making a film. What may seem fine on the script stage may not work while editing the scenes out.
That`s why there are always stories of actors who tell how their role was cut short in a particular film that they shot. In certain cases, the entire role is deleted because it doesn`t work.
Something similar happened to ace actor Pankaj Tripathi. In a recent interview, he got candid about how his role got deleted from Hrithik Roshan`s Lakshya, which was released back in 2004.
Back then, Pankaj Tripathi was still trying to make his mark in the industry, doing small roles here and there. He also said that the news about his casting in the film came even in newspapers. Some papers carried the news that the actor from Bihar would star in a Bollywood film. However, he felt bad when the final film didn`t have his role.

Lakshya was directed by Farhan Akhtar with a screenplay by Javed Akhtar. It starred Hrithik Roshan, Preity Zinta, and Amitabh Bachchan in important roles.
In the same interview, as he spoke of his journey of navigating the journey in Bollywood, he shared how he was not present in the posters of Fukrey 2. It was even worse, as the poster featured an animated picture of a tiger, but there was no presence of the actor playing a prominent role.
He was recently seen in the third part of the franchise, and this time, he was present on the posters.
Pankaj Tripathi has become a household name now with the kind of roles he has been playing in recent years. From family dramas like Bareilly Ki Barfi to violent sagas like Mirzapur, Pankaj has established himself as an actor who can wear many hats. No longer is there any need for his role to get cut, as the audience wants more of him.
