Suniel Shetty on his love for cricket
Actor Suniel Shetty is extremely protective of his family. On multiple occasions, he has shown his deep admiration and love for Indian cricketer KL Rahul, who is also his son-in-law. He has stood strongly behind him in difficult times. Recently, he reflected on his experience watching the World Cup and why it hurts him more than anyone else to see people trolling KL Rahul.
In an interview, he revealed that it hurts him more than it would hurt Athiya or Rahul when people talk badly about the cricketer. KL Rahul also consoled him by saying that his bat would do the talking.
Speaking more on this, Suniel Shetty said, "The faith of the people in him, the selectors, the faith of the captain—it said it all. It hurts me 100 times more than it would hurt Rahul or Athiya."
Why does Suniel Shetty sit on the floor while watching a cricket match?
Suniel Shetty revealed that he is very superstious as a person, especially when India is playing. During the entire World Cup, he sat on the floor in front of the TV with his wife, Mana Shetty, to see the matches.

"I am anxious whenever he is playing. It`s my child playing. I always wish well for him. Looking into his eyes, I have started empathizing with and appreciating every cricketer. When your child goes through a low, it shakes you up. He is the master of his profession, but you are seeing it like a father. And then he rises like a phoenix."
KL Rahul is married to Suniel Shetty`s daughter, Athiya Shetty, and the two have been very close. Athiya supports Rahul for his cricket matches and was seen in the stadium to attend the matches of the World Cup that took place earlier this year.
On the work front, Suniel Shetty was last seen in Amazon Mini TV`s Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega, where he played the role of a cop. Fans are waiting to see him reprise his role of Shyam in the sequel of the hit Comedy film Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri that also stars Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
