Jiah Khan was an English-American actress and singer. She was found dead at her Juhu home in Mumbai on 3rd June 2013. Later on, Sooraj Pancholi was arrested by the Police based on a six-page letter, apparently written by the actor. On 12th April 2023, Sooraj Pancholi gave his final statement to the court and said that he had been framed in a false case.
Sooraj Pancholi also said that he was the victim of false prosecution and persecution. He revealed how broke down when he heard about Jiah`s death and said, "I had lost the most important person of my life and the woman whom I truly loved."

However, on Friday, a renowned CBI court in Mumbai acquitted Sooraj Pancholi, who was accused of sanctioning the suicide of his ex-girlfriend Jiah Khan in 2013 mentioning the lack of evidence against him. Now, her mother Rabia Khan`s reaction to the verdict is shocking.
Rabia has been fighting the case for many years and has been denying the prosecution`s claim that this was a case of suicide. She has repeatedly claimed that her daughter was murdered.

Earlier in September 2022, the court had said that Jiah`s mother Rabia Khan was trying to deal with the judgment in the case as she was trying to portray the actress`s death as murder. The judges revealed, "Repeated insistence of the petitioner (Rabia Khan) to procure a finding from the court that death of the victim (Jiah Khan), in this case, was homicidal and not suicidal is a clear indication of procrastinating the trial."

And as per the PTI report, her approach seemed to detour the pending process of law, the court also mentioned, "This conduct of the petitioner amounts to unnecessarily procrastinating and delaying the trial which is in progress before the trial court. It appears that the petitioner wants this court to return a finding in her favor that the death of the victim was homicidal and not suicidal, even before the trial is over."
On Friday, Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court judge A S Sayyad told that due to lack of any evidence, the court holds Sooraj Pancholi not guilty. Sooraj, was present with his parents Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, at the time of the verdict. He was arrested in the case in June 2013 and released on bail in July 2013.
