Actor Taapsee Pannu, who is at the receiving end of critical acclaim and fan love for yet another impactful performance in Zee 5&rsquo;s &lsquo;Rashmi Rocket&rsquo;, spoke to RJ Archana recently about the unrealistic expectations that society holds for women. &ldquo;If you speak a lot, then people assume you to be difficult and talkative. It becomes important for women to translate their words into actions, in order to prove their worth. We should stop deciding someone&rsquo;s capability based on their gender. Nowhere, it is mentioned that just because he is a man or she is a woman, they can&rsquo;t do this or that job.&rdquo; Following her Filmfare-winning performance in &lsquo;Thappad&rsquo;, last year, Taapsee has become the representative of the new-age Indian woman, who is uncompromising and relentless in her efforts to achieve success and excellence on her own terms. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, &lsquo;Rashmi Rocket&rsquo; also stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak.

Starting his journey as an indie musician and composer OAFF&nbsp; released a few really beautiful tracks like "Perpetuate" , "Frontline" , "For a while" , he has lately stepped in the India Film music scene and has worked on the music for films like Gehraiyaan , Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan . While he continues to do so, his indie music hasn`t taken a back step and that is a delight for the loyal OAFF listeners.&nbsp;
That been said, lately he released a really groovy track with Lisa Mishra and 2 other artists Somanshu and The Rish called "Bahaane" . The 4 artists cameup with this song at a Goa residency organized by OAFF`s management "Rerpresent". About 15 artist were invited at a residence in Goa and were given the space to make music and comeup with ideas.&nbsp;
In a recent chat with OAFF at our studios , he broke down a lot of things for us about his indie music, film music, collaborative process, artistic instincts . This one thing&nbsp; he said realy stuck by :
"Everyone has a inner haunting and all our lives we are following that inner haunting, it makes us feel a certain way ,i dont`t know how to name that feeling but it feels like something you wanna chase"

Capturing the raw emotions, Siffat dances on a thin thread of being shattered into pieces. Metaphorically, Savneet Singh`s Sun Toh Na is the perfect song if you`re out of words yet want your loud, troubled mind to be heard.&nbsp;All in all, with this being his fourth <a href="https://www.radiocity.in/freedom/news/tuesday-tunes--indie-songs-for-the-traveler-in-you-133" target="_blank" rel="noopener">independent release</a>, the singer-composer has done a fabulous job.
Having said that, this genre is already populated with such songs. Abhanga Repost is a Contemporary Folk Fusion Band who recreates Abhangas into songs by replacing Taals &amp; Kartals with Drums &amp; Guitars and fusing it with Pop, RnB, Rock &amp; Reggae Music.
Widely known all across Maharashtra, the indie band Abhanga Repost launches its debut album called &lsquo;Vaari&rsquo;. The album consists of total 7 music tracks.
What makes the band stand out is the album&rsquo;s leading track &lsquo;Bhoot Jabar&rsquo; a Marathi Fork Artform sheds light on to searing topics such as casteism, women foeticide, equality, environmentalism, etc and refuses to go adrift. This track is a fusion of Rock &amp; Reggae, wherein the Rock section is used in the Chorus of the song &amp; the Reggae is used precisely in the track.
`Bhoot Jabar` can now be streamed on Radio City Freedom and leading music portals.

Given the festive season and the wedding season that the country is looking forward to embrace, Mumbai-based electro act Lost Stories, featuring Rishab Joshi and Prayag Mehta, and established mainstream singer Jonita Gandhi combine forces for the third time to deliver another beautiful rendition with `Mehndi Te Vavi`. A rearrangement of the popular Gujarati folk track, the composition comprises the use of traditional folk alongwith additional strings by Jay Pei and flutework by Shriram Sampath. The duo have also released the song`s official music video which features Telugu actress Simran Chaudhary alongside social media influencer Mr. MNV. The video has been directed by Sarthak Cheema. The collaborative forces of Lost Stories and Gandhi has always proven to work its magic upon their fans. When the two forces first worked together on reworking the popular Tamil hit, `Vaseegara`, it created a frenzy amongst fans leading to an online petition that drew over a thousand signatures urging the artistes to officiate a release alongwith a performance video which witnessed over 14 million views. In 2020, the duo came together again for the poignant yet liberating `Mai Ni Meriye`, which proved to be a huge lockdown hit. `Mehndi Te Vavi` is now playing on leading music portals and on Radio City Freedom.
