As Navratri comes to an end, Dussehra 2024 will be seen celebrated on a massive scale in India. A festival where truth triumphed evil, Lord Ram won the war against the menacing Ravana. On this auspicious occasion, lets see actors who portrayed the role of Ravana, giving us a visual treat of what the devil looked like.
1. Saif Ali Khan - Adipurush
While it was bold of Saif Ali Khan to challenge himself to play the antagonist, his act as Ravana in Adipurush invited several controversies and backlash. This devil was a modern one who donned a fancy haircut, had six-pack abs, and had snakes give him massages.2. Aarya Babbar - Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman
Not every actor who portrayed Ravana was seen from Lord Ram's point of view. Now here's an interesting take on Indian mythology and folklore. Puneet Issar starrer Ravan Ki Ramayana narrates the entire Lord Ram vs. Ravana saga from the latter's perspective.Though he was termed cruel, Ravana had his own reasons to create a historic war.
5. Yash - Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana
The KGF superstar is rumored to play the lead antagonist in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. While the word isn't confirmed yet, the shooting for the film has already begun.Ramayana will have Ranbir Kapoor essaying the role of Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita. The film will release in 2025.
