Allu Arjun Arrest: Furious Fans Say Blaming Pushpa 2 Actor Is `Ridiculous`

Allu Arjun fans are shaking and quaking after learning about his arrest news, which is all over the internet and social media. For the uninformed, the actor was arrested in the Pushpa 2 stampede case, which occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad, where a 35-year-old woman died and her 9-year-old son was critically injured.

The tragic incident occurred earlier this month amid chaotic scenes at the venue. On Friday morning, the Pushpa 2 actor was picked up from his residence and taken to the Chikkadpally police station in connection with the case.


As soon as the fans learnt about Allu Arjun's arrest, they rushed to social media to express their disbelief and anger. While some called the move unfair, others wondered how the actor was to be blamed for the woman's death.

Fans react to Allu Arjun's arrest

The Pushpa actor has recently approached the Telangana High Court to request a dismissal of the FIR filed against him in the stampede case following a tragic death.

However, the decision to arrest Arjun did not go down well with his fans, and many took to X (formerly Twitter), where they called the move ridiculous. Some even asked if police would have arrested Virat Kohli, should a stampede-like situation occur at a stadium during a cricket match."

One user wrote, 'What's even the reasoning? He wasn't even present there. Joke country running on emotions. Will you arrest Virat Kohli if there is a stampede at a cricket screening in a faraway park?'

Another user presumed this could be a political move by the opposing party and tweeted, "Still trying to figure out how he is involved. Allu Arjun is being targeted for political reasons.'


'What stupidity. What will the actor do for a stampede? It's the theatre owner's responsibility, unless Allu is also the theatre owner,' complained another.

In one of the viral pictures before he could be whisked away in the police van, Allu Arjun can be seen planting a kiss on his wife, Sneha Reddy's, cheek. Have a look.


However, some praised the prompt action by police, proving laws are equal for all Indian citizens, regardless of their profession and status. A comment read, "Good decision by police he might be a star, but he was responsible for one death."

It was during the film's premiere scheduled in Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre that a chaotic situation arose as fans tried to get a glimpse of their favourite Telugu star. The situation became uncontrollable, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old woman and her 9-year-old son being severely injured.

When asked the officials about the lack of management, they revealed being unaware about the movie's leading cast's arrival at the venue, which caused the chaos.

Allu Ajun later issued a statement expressing condolences and even donated a compensation of 25 lakhs to the grieving family.
