Dangal Actor Suhani Bhatnagar Who Played Young Babita Phogat Passes Away At 19

We woke up to shocking news this weekend. Dangal actor Suhani Bhatnagar, who played the role of young Babita Phogat, passes away. She was only 19 years old. She played the role of a young wrestler who went on to represent India internationally. Her older version was played by Sanya Malhotra.
As per the reports, Suhani Bhatnagar lived in Faridabad's Sector 17. She will be cremated in the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15. While the reason for her death is yet unknown, reports suggest it was due to fluid accumulation in her body.
Dangal marked her big Bollywood debut alongside Aamir Khan, Zaira Wasim, and Sakshi Talwar.

As per a report from Jagran, the reason for her death was said to be fluid accumulation in her body. Suhani had an accident a while back and fractured her leg. The medications she was prescribed during the treatment had such an extreme side effect that they slowly began to accumulate fluid.She had been admitted to Delhi's AIIMS hospital for quite some time. Dangal star Aamir Khan's production house took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and expressed heartfelt condolences to the family.

Suhani Bhatnagar had over 20,000 followers on Instagram. However, she wasn't that active on social media. Sharing a couple of selfies, her feed also had pictures from Dangal promotion days with the cast and other team members.

About Dangal
Dangal was released in 2016 and went on to become a monstrous blockbuster of the year. The sports drama was based on the infamous Indian wrestler Phogat sisters, who represented India in the Olympics and even won a gold medal.The film features Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat, the father and trainer of his wrestler daughters. Babita Phogat and Geeta Phogat became India's first prominent female wrestlers.
