Deepika Padukone And Ranveer Singh Arrive At Polling Booth, Mommy-To-Be Flaunts Her Baby Bump

With the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha polls, phase 5 of the elections, which kicked off today, saw many Bollywood celebrities cast their votes. While some posed happily with their inked fingers, it was Deepika Padukone who happily flaunted her baby bump.

The mommy-to-be arrived at the polling booth along with her husband, Ranveer Singh, who was seen being overly protective as he made way for her. The duo were seen twinning in white.

For the uninitiated, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced their pregnancy on February 29 this year. They will be expecting their first child in September 2024.

With the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls starting today, Mumbai saw the active participation of responsible citizens coming out to cast their votes. This national election will determine whose government will run the country for the next five years.

Amid the chaos, it was parents-to-be who stepped out to cast their precious votes. On Monday morning, Deepika arrived at the polling booth with Ranveer by her side. He was seen making a safe space for the actress to reach the booth.

In a video that's going viral on the internet, the Bajirao Mastani couple can be seen twinning in white. Deepika Padukone was basking in the glow of her pregnancy as she flaunted her baby bump for the very first time.

The paparazzi present there were, of course, very excited to get a glimpse of the parents-to-be. Their behavior, however, enraged a police officer, as the excitement got out of hand. In the same clip, the cop was seen yelling at the paps as he said, 'Kya farak padhta hai humko, Deepika hai Ranveer hai? Niklo yahan se.'

While Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh responsibly did their duty, they were not the only ones who came forward to get their fingers inked. Many other Bollywood celebrities stepped out to cast their votes.

Akshay Kumar, who was spotted at Juhu, voted for the first time after regaining his Indian citizenship.


Other prominent names like Farhan Akhtar, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, and Vidya Balan, among others, also flaunted their inked fingers.

Many actors also emphasized the importance of voting and urged the commoners, especially the youngsters, to go and vote. On May 20, the fifth phase of the national elections kicked off in Maharashtra.

On the work front

When it comes to their professional lives, Deepika Padukone's lineup looks rather packed, with movies like Kalki 2898 AD and Singham Again being scheduled for back-to-back releases.

As for Ranveer Singh, he will mark his phenomenal return as a quirky yet uncompromising cop in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, as Sangram Bhalerao, aka Simmba.

The couple is due to welcome their first child in September 2024.
