Akshay Kumar and Arshard Warsi`s Jolly LLB 3 Lands in Legal Trouble in Ajmer
The shooting for the third film in the Jolly LLB franchise starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi went underway last week in Ajmer. However, the filming may have to come to a halt as the film has landed in legal trouble. The president of the Bar Council Association at Ajmer has filed a complaint against the actors, producers, and directors of the upcoming film for portraying the lawyers and judges disrespectfully.
The Ajmer District Bar Association has filed a complaint against the upcoming film based on the two previous films. The complaint states that these films have portrayed lawyers and judges in a disrespectful manner. The previous films have showcased violence towards lawyers, bribery among the judges, the use of tobacco products, and much more. The complaint states that such portrayal can erode the people’s trust in India’s judicial system.

Chandrabhan Singh Rathod is the Bar Council’s president and the spokesperson for the complainant. He gave a statement saying, “This decision has been taken after watching the first and second parts of Jolly LLB. It seems that the filmmakers, directors, and actors do not respect the dignity and honour of the judiciary of the country at all.”
“The shooting of Jolly LLB 3 is underway in villages and areas around Ajmer, including the district magistrate`s office, which will continue for several days. Even during the shooting of this film, the image, respect, and dignity of the judiciary, including judges, do not seem to be taken seriously at all,” Rathod concluded.
The Bar Association’s complaint seeks to halt the shooting of Jolly LLB 3 until the portrayal of the judicial servants is addressed.
The first part of the film came back in 2013, and it starred Arshad Warsi in the lead role. The second film came out in 2017 with Akshay Kumar in the lead.
The third film will have both the leads face off against each other in court, with Huma Quereshi also joining the cast. A few days ago, Munna Bhai actor Arshad Warsi and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan star Akshay Kumar shared a video announcing the start of the film’s shoot. The post was captioned, ‘Ab original kaun aur duplicate kaun, yeh toh pata nahi. But this sure is going to be a jolly good ride!! Stay with us. Jai Mahakaal.’
